Because if we showed any sign of panic or distress weather the warning was real or not there could be many injuries due to guests panicking A) immediately we made sure to offer guest whatever assistance they need to help then stay calm and reassured like offer phones on landlines if needed to contact family, or snacks to distract children from concern, and just keep dialogue open with any info as it became available R). me and the other staff needed to be remain calm and reassure guests for there safety. T) during this time of concern and uncertainty while I was concerned myself I realized for the safety of our guest. ,which did cause a state of concern and stress among our 4000 guests on property. S) Well here in hawaii everyone in the state received the text on our phone stating that there was a missile heading our way and it was not a test. So I've learn to always make time for others in need because you wont know the impact until you make the sacrifice. Which this experience really showed me you never know when your going to have the opportunity to change someone's life for the better and actually is probably going to be when your the busiest or not expecting it. R) The dad later told me they really had struggled as a family since the mother had passed away and that was the first time he had really seen the filled with joy and excitement. After word we meet back with the dad for dinner and kids got to show him pictures and video You could just see the excitement they had as they shared the experience with there dad.
T) i could see that his dream of providing this amazing memory for his kids was quickly Fading and unfortunately beyond his control and i could also see that with just a little assistance everything He was hoping for could be accomplished with just a little sacrifice of my time A) so i made the offer to change my plans and take the kids surfing while dad finished his commitment with his work. After talking with the him briefly i could tell work commitments were going to prevent him from being able to take his kids surfing which was the one thing they really were wanting to do and they had dreamed about doing on this trip. S) Well i had single Dad staying with us at HIlton where this was there 1st vacation in many years due to cost and work schedule and even this trip was only made possible becuase the fathers work sent him here.
